[SLE] Installation of SuSE 9.2 on an older Box

    Dear Listmembers,

    I tried to install SuSE 9.2 on the following machine unsuccessful:

    BIOS Report is as follows:
    Pentium MMX, 166 MHz
    192 MB main memory
    Primary Master Maxtor 91360U4 (13.6 GB)
    Primary Slave Maxtor 92732U8 (27.3 GB)
    Secondary <none>
    Card-01 OPL3-SAX Sound Board
    Adaptec AHA-2930CU SCSI BIOS v1.34.1
    SCSI ID: 4 TEAC CD-R55S
    SCSI BIOS Not installed

    A report of "yast2 hwinfo" (SuSE 9.0) is also available (~80 Kb).

    The installation of SuSE 9.2 hangs at the following last line:
    >>> SUSE Linux installation program v1.7.17 (c) 1996-2004 SUSE LINUX AG <<<

    The last thing I could see it doing, was changing the Font on the
    Textscreen. After that it is doing nothing anymore.
    That even happens when I try to install it by using "Installation (save
    settings)" in "Text Mode".

    Can anybody give me some advice how to get SuSE 9.2 installed on this
    box, please?
