    Yes have checked all that. I know the drive is starting to fail )over
    heating), it just happened to fail at the wrong time during the install.
    I was hoping to be able to log in and copy the DVD to the second hard
    drive but I can't even log in as that part of the install never started,
    setting root's passwd and adding one user.
    Going to do a minimal install w/X in the morning, hopefully with fewer
    packages it should complete then I will be able to rsync the dvd to the
    second harddrive and install more packages.
