I am attempting to rip a CD using Kaudiocreator, but I receive the
following error:
CDROM read or access error (or no audio disk in drive).
Please make sure you have access permissions to:
/dev/dvd
I have checked the permissions, the drive works (I installed SuSE 9.3
and StarOffice from it), so I am baffled.
The device has the folling mappings:
/dev/dvd symlinked to /dev/hdc
/dev/cdrom symlinked to /dev/hdc
I also tried Grip to no avail. When I try to listen to any CD with any
of the SuSE-supplied CD players, each tells me "permission denied."
This worked perfectly under SuSE 9.2. When installling 9.3 I performed
a clean install.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
