    ('binary' encoding is not supported, stored as-is) With 9.3 I had to manually edit xorg.conf (in /etc/X11/) to replace nv with
    nvidia in the Devices(?) section, and I followed the same install path you did.

    Have a look and see which module is being loaded. Once done, you should have a
    look with glxinfo to see if 3D acceleration is enabled.
