    Heck, the (real) Win XP box I'm forced to use at work regularly does a
    thrash-every-drive behavior when viewing directories that contain things
    "important" to windows. It looks to me to be things like backgrounds, and
    files on the most-recently-used list. It's windows, so it's a feature, not a
    bug, right? ;-)
