I'm trying to enable xinetd on Suse 9.3 using YaST. I go to the xinetd
page, click enable (the table is enabled) and finish, but xinetd doesn't
appear to start. The file /var/log/xinetd.log doesn't exist, so I guess
it's never been started. Next time I go into the Yast page, xinetd is
shown as disabled again. Enabling or disabling some service makes no
difference.
Does anybody have any idea what's wrong or where I can look for clues?
Thanks, Dave
