[SLE] Yast in Failsafe mode problems

I have a new installation of suse 9.3 using a 17" Samsung lcd monitor.
After the installation and when I'm supposed to see the desktop for the
first time I get a blank screen with a no-connection light blinking.

I tried to use yast2 in failsafe mode but when I select change I get the
same, no connection response from my monitor.
