[SLE] Keyboard management changes in kernel 2.6?

    Hello,

            I have a barcode gun connected to my PC through a keyboard ps/2
    connection. When my computer had redhat 9 this barcode gun worked fine
    but now I installed SuSE 9.3 and it doesn't work anymore.

            To track the problem I tested this barcode gun on several
    operating system and these were the results:

    ---------------------+----------------------
         Operating System | did it work?
    ---------------------+----------------------
             SuSE 9.3 | no
          Mandrake 10.0 | no
          Mandrake 10.1 | no
            RedHat 9 | yes
          Mandrake 9.2 | yes
         Windows XP SP2 | yes
    ---------------------+----------------------

            Since this, I think there was a change in the keyboard driver in
    the passing from 2.4 to 2.6.

            So I would to know if it is possible to configure, someway, the
    computer in order to use this barcode gun just like when I had Redhat 9
    installed?
