I had a similar issue with my DV4000. If I remember correctly when I got to
the video portion of the install I had to choose generic settings and a
really low resolution. This let me bring up Sax2 when the installation
finished ( from the commandline with the vesa option ). The key is the vesa
option. Then when Sax2 comes up select the resolution, depth, etc that you
want. Sorry I can't be more specific but I found something on the web at one
point regarding Suse and the DV4000 that gave me that tip. You may want to
google to see if you can find that info.
