    Take a look at the files in /etc/sysconfig/network/

    Down at the bottom of /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg.template is a long list of options that can be passed to the dhcpcd client. I think the one you're looking for is "DHCLIENT_ADDITIONAL_OPTIONS".

    - Set up the wireless card to use DHCP again.
    - Find the /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-xxxx file describing the card.
    - Add this line:
    DHCLIENT_ADDITIONAL_OPTIONS="-o"

    - Do /etc/init.d/network restart

    I configured the wireless card to have a static IP and now I do not loose
    the network connectivity anymore.

    I therefore seems that it is the DHCP client.

    I am running SuSE 9.3 and cannot find a /etc/dhcpcd.conf or a
    /etc/init.d/dhcpcd.

    How do I configure the DHCP client to not bring the interface up and down?
