There are two places for mysql.sock, and my system seems to want both!!!
In /etc/my.cnf I had changed from /tmp/mysql.sock to
/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
That gave me no error anymore at the program ser but with phpMyAdmin.
How can I get it to the right place for all programs?
bye
