[SLE] Kernel 2.4.31 over SuSE 9.3?

    Hello,

        Is it possible to use kernel 2.4.31 over SuSE 9.3? could it be any
    problem on doing this?
        The reason I would like to do this is because a barcode scanner I
    have does not work over kernel 2.6.
