[SLE] Eth0 locked / duplicate IP address

    Hi,

    Installation of SuSE 10 RC 1 went very smoothly. I have a
    problem with
    configuring a static IP at work. Yast error messages that a
    duplicate
    address exists on the network (it doesn't and the network
    interface
    isn't up anyway ). If I try ifup -eth0 then it errors out
    with device
    is already in use. Ifconfig -a reveals that eth0 is not up.
     How do I
    find the process that is locking the network card?? (PS. I
    have to use
    10 as 9.3 does not seem to support this laptop)
