[SLE] nvidia vs ati proprietary linux drivers

    Dear SUSE users:

    I want to buy a new graphics card and have difficulties which
    one to buy, ATI or NVIDIA based card.
    Currently I have Nvidia GeForce MX400 and I am satisfied with
    it. I think nvidia's linux driver is pretty good. Earlier I also had
    ATI Radeon 7000 but is not supported by proprietary ATI
    drivers.
    What I would ike to know how stable and reliable the
    proprietary ATI linux driver.
    Also would like to know which one is easier to configure for TV
    out and which has better TV out properties/quality - but this
    latter probably depends on the model too.

    Any opinion and help is appreciated!
