What about DNS? Did you specify any DNS at all? You can go to YaST under the
start menu/System and check the network settings there or
You can open a terminal window and try:
host -t a www.google.com
to see if it will resolve. The dns entries are stored in /etc/resolv.conf
(you can check that file to see if they are correct). Check also your
default gateway (netstat -rn).
Also, try enabling DHCP for a moment. I'm pretty sure you're DSL modem will
assign you the ip and the rest of required info. Once you know it works, you
can then specify your configuration manually.
