I am having a problem in accessing a vpn server running on SuSE
    Linux V9.2 from Windows XP.

The server is behind a netgear adsl modem/gateway/router DG825M. The
    following ports are opened here
    TCP 500 (IPSec)
    TCP 1701 (LT2P)
TCP 1743 (PPTP, this includes GRE, according to documentation)

The clients sit behind either a DLINK 504 router/modem or a netgear
DG825M, neither of the ports is open on the clients side, the
tunnel is supposed to go from the clients to the server.

I can establish the tunnel from all machines running SuSE Linux
V9.2, but not from any Windows XP client (error 721). Most
references I found pertaining to this error specify a router issue,
but if it is the router, why does the tunnel work under linux?

    Any hints welcome

    Thanks

    Peter
