This just blew me away so much I had to say something. I know I'm
preaching to the choir, but WOW!

I recently installed SuSE 10.0 on my IBM T22, and decided that this
time I was going to make the built-in ethernet port and the PCMCIA
wireless (Linksys WPC-54G) work automatically, whichever found a
connection. Some asking around in the SuSE-English mailing list led me
to ifplugd. As usual, I started with google. After about an hour of
reading, I was starting to get serioiusly worried... I couldn't find
much in the way of configuration details - not even an example!
Another hour, trying different search terms. Same result. I finally
decided to do it the hard way - I configured both interfaces in YAST
and restarted the system, expecting that maybe the error messages
would give me an idea about better search terms.

Folks, I was floored - it worked! I won't claim it's never happened
before, but it hasn't happened in a LONG time. I was expecting
something to be seriously complex and I overshot - it was so simple I
was certain I had completely missed the point. Score another point for
    SuSE!
