    Though I'll get slammed by the OSS purists, I agree that - if a product
    has value - and the makers feel they prefer closed source, then fine.
    I'll buy.

    I think Open Source - charged or free - is a better model in the long
    run, but the archaic closed-source model is fine, too.

    Just my $.02
