    He did not mention the data aquisition speed required (nor any
    requirement); if it is slow, anything would work. Besides, he mentioned
    that he programmed in html, so... Labview would be an option, and the
    cards he asked about are from National. It's a long time since I worked in
    that field, so I haven't checked if there is a Linux version. Dunno,
    really, but it would be nice. It's a nice app to show to the bosses if you
    don't pay for it :-p

    Anyway, if the maker says all those languages (C or C++ for Linux, that
    is) are compatible, it is likely because they already provide the driver
    required. Card makers usually do, giving code samples you can reuse. The
    OP shouldn't need to bother about the nuances of programming IRQs in
    Linux. I hope!

    As I said, it is long since I worked in this, and never in Linux, didn't
    have the chance. I'm curious to know how they do it now and what is
    available.
