I've been using suse 10, and for the first time tried to
install a printer, but no luck. The printer is a HP660C
connected to the parallel port. This printer was working
fine on my suse 8.1 system, and, if I boot to a freedos
disc I can print to it on LPT1. So I assume the print and
    parallel port is working.

When I go to install using Yast, Yast will initialling
recognize the printer, it shows a HP660C as not configured.
But as I try to install the "test Connection" fails, and if
I complete the install wizard, the test print also fails.
No output on the print at all.

When I check CUPS it says something like "Parallel Port Busy,
    will retry in 30 seconds".

    What am I doing wrong?

    Matt
