Same here. I have no idea what my wireless configuration is. :) When I'm
plugged in to the cable at work, my laptop "joins" the domain. When I'm at
home, it finds the local wireless network. My only issue is - I think - with
my router. Occasionally, the router can't be found and my laptop tries to
connect to one of my neighbors' unsecured networks. :P

KInternet is easily added - it just sort of showed up on my task bar. I
actually have no idea how. Right-click to connect.
This is actually a pet-peeve of mine. Can someone tell me how to get my laptop
to auto-connect to my home network? As mentioned in my previous paragraph,
the laptop finds (usually) the wireless network. In fact, it even lists the
network as being connected. However, unless I manually click on Wireless
Connection -> Scan for Wireless Networks -> Connect, it appears that I'm not
connected. I can ping the router from my laptop prior but that's all. No DNS
no internet.
I have no WEP authentication on my wifi, just a MAC restriction, so only my
laptop and desktop can access the internet. I am broadcasting my SSID. (I
would like to change this to not broadcast, but will wait until I figure how
to auto-connect.)
Ideas?
