There is definitely something in this?
I had all plugins working fine and (from memory) updated Firefox. Even
though the plugins were still installed, they had in fact dissappeared
from Firefox. So, I could not play the ad mentioned by the OP either -
same 'get plugin' message.

I updated my Packman repository (I use USA mirror), removed any
'pluginreg.dat' files (they re-generate) forced a re-install of the
mplayer-plugin with Yast (with Firefox not loaded), loaded Firefox and
'whalah' - all relevant plugins returned. Go back to the site and the ad
plays just fine.

I am sure I have seen this before. I think when you do anything of
significance to Firefox (certainly an update) you have to re-install your
plugins! I think it has to do with these cryptically named profile
folders that get generated.

For what it's worth, all works again here!
