Wierd, innit? I noticed, too, that SUSE shipped 1.4 instead of 5.0. It
took a bit of work to find then install the 5.0 version of the JRE/JDK.
My guess is - like Apache - many people are still using the depricated
version (heck, they're coming out with 6.0 very shortly) and Novell
didn't want to upset anyone.
It is there on YaST, if you look for it.
