I'm going to assume that since you generated your own ppd, that this
printer did not have a driver in CUPS. A couple of things you might
try. One, use another printer model close to yours that is already in
the database. May have to go through a few to find a suitable one.
Second, check here:
http://www.avasys.jp/english/linux_e/index.html
to see if Epson has created a driver for it.
