Maybe but if windows can do the voodoo required to make it print,
there's no reason why linux can't too.
For what it's worth, my housemate has this printer on his gentoo box,
and it prints fine, except he has to power cycle the printer between
jobs to so that the firmware gets reloaded.
So to my mind there is very little left for HP to do to make this
printer work properly in linux.
Personally, I'd go for the lj1022 though :-)
