Hi,Have a look at the Printer HOWTO,
I'm trying to connect and configure a network printer to my SUSE
Professional 9.2 box. The printer is local to a FreeBSD RELEASE 5.4 box
and requires a suitable PPD file for a PostScript Printer and I think
I've found the appropriate download site for that. However, I'm
experiencing a serious case of brain-fade. I remember, during earlier
configuration attempts, working with a YaST-type screen which listed
my printer and allowed me to download/select the PPD file. I don't
see one now.
I've checked the TCP/IP network and name resolution as well as the
remote lpd, but don't remember how to configure the printer with the
appropriate print driver. I've also been successful at running the
first stage of print "tests", i.e., SUSE recognizes the server and
print queue, but doesn't print.
/usr/share/doc/howto/en/html/Printing-HOWTO/ if you've installed the
howtoenh package.
