So, some person who is not subscribed to the list sends an email to it. The
list generates a bounce message back to the list (in addition, hopefully, to
the person who actually sends the note) when it should only send the bounce
to the person who sends the "offending" email. Is that what's happening?
No. Some person subscribed, normally. At some point in time, he or his
sysadmin tells postfix to do virus checking... but missconfigures it,
postfix fails to deliver the list mail, and bounces back after 5 days
trying delivery, to the original poster - ie, you, me, everybody that
posts to the list.
