If this occurs repeatedly I suggest a reburn of that disk at a slow
speed. Sometimes speeds 8 or more create problems. The recent Knoppix
had to be burned at 4 to be bootable.

I assume all the hardware is consistant and working prior to this not a
new box, sound, graphics, nic etc.
