When using Kmail filters setup on Mailing Lists it doesn't seem to

work for I

have to apply filters later on manually. Is there something wrong.

Um, you probabaly have a setting wrong. In the filters, look for
something that says "apply on incoming" or similar.

I have filters dropping messages into three different folders depending
on conditions.
