Normally, when replying to a SuSE list, the established
protocol is to post
at the bottom not the top.
Yes, though that seems to be honored more in the breach,
than the observance.
However, the _preferred_ reply protocol is to _trim_ all but
the essential text from the previous post, and then to write
your responses in between the judiciously selected quotations.
In other words, deal with just the points that you think
need responses, and delete everything else from the previous
mail. Never quote footers and tag lines unless you are
talking about them.
If the total of quoted text is double-or-more the amount of
text that you write in the current e-mail, then you (generic
"you", not you personally) are failing to abide by proper
etiquette.
AFAIK, there is no way in KMail to force KMail to place the
initial cursor at any other place.
