I've just installed apcupsd using YaST on a SUSE 9.3 system and am
confused by what I need to do to get it to work. YaST didn't give me any
prompts or errors and I haven't found any SUSE README files or anything.
Is there a SUSE way to activate the system or do I need to follow the
apcupsd generic instructions?
The source of the apctest man page is in the packages doc area for
example, but neither the man page nor the program itself are installed.
It looks like a half-installed package?
I've got a Back-UPS CS 350 with a USB connection and the apcupsd config
file needs me to specify something like /dev/usb/hiddev[0-15] but I've
no idea how to determine the device number.
In /etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf
Try:
UPSTYPE usb
DEVICE
I.e. DEVICE has no argument.
That may be all you have to do.
Optherwise, a lot of info can be found with google.
