Thanks to all for the many responses to my call for help. I now have the
Web Server, Telnet Server, and the SSH Server included in the Firewall

still cannot connect with ssh or telnet. There is a file somewhere where
I have to enable the linux box to receive ssh and telnet and I can not
find it.

I have a local net consisting of the new Suse 10 box, a Windows XP box
and the old SuSe 8.2 machine that I am replacing. They get to DSL by
way of a combination modem-router (2Wire 1701HG Gateway). The purpose of
this exercise is to enable my grandson, from his remote location, to set
up the files for his website that will use my Apache server.

Now I need help finding where I can enable SSH and Telnet.

As Brad Bourn pointed out 3 days ago, you will have to enable
port-forwarding on the NAT boxes (routers) to allow remote hosts to
connect to your services. Did you try that?
