with it. When you had mulitple DOS sessions running they had no
mechanism for cooperative MT, so the OS had to stop one session to allow
another to run. As we all know from experience, it didn't work very
well, but it was still pre-emptive, in that the app had absolutely no
control over it, unlike apps written for cooperative MT.
