[SLE] Tape drive drivers?

Having searched extensively on the net for drivers my mate and I have
come up against a brick wall on this one. We are trying to find
drivers for SuSE 10 for a Seagate STT20000A rev 8A51 tape drive. This
is an IDE model not SCSI. SuSE recognises it as a tape drive but it
does not have the correct drivers. It gets listed in the boot up
process as being hde
dmesg gives this so it is seeing the drive, its on a pci-ide board
ide_tape: module not supported by Novell, setting U taint flag.
ide-tape: hde <-> ht0: Seagate STT20000A rev 8A51
ide-tape: hde <-> ht0: 1000KBps, 6*54kB buffer, 9720kB pipeline, 108ms tDSC,
DMA
While the above says hde <-> ht0 there is no /dev/ht0 when you look in /dev
So, does anybody know of a dark and dusty hidden repository of drivers
for this particular tape drive? The Seagate site does not seem to
list anything - unless we have searched incorrectly. Annoyingly, it
does seem to work in CentOS :-((((
