I wasn't talking about getting THAT dvd player on SuSE, I just mean the
idea that even though it is not included, and you might have to pay a
little, it is still available to the average user from the distributor.

Kai. It looks like it is Linspires own software rather than a third
party paid by Linspire. I could be wrong of course. It is certainly
closed source - of course :-( But I agree, surely Linspire could
easily do some ports to other distros and offer it for sale. Ok, it
will make some people throw their arms in the air and scream blue
murder while beating themselves with barbed sticks :-) But they don't
have to buy it. It could be just another option and that's what Linux
is about, options.
