This complexity is already being played out (yet again) with the two
differing versions of the new generation of DVD. We have Blu Ray and
HD DVD. So, the manufacturers will indeed try different standards and
hope that theirs wins out. In the meantime, we, the customer, lose
out.
VHS vs Beta the latter some said was better but a looser in the end.
Once again I am sorry for what my government is doing to the industry.
