Re: [SLE] Manually editing a symlink

A symlink is a special file that merely contains the path of another file. It
can be created by the ln command.

Now is it possible to actually *edit* the contents of a *symlink* itself? I
mean, I would like to change which file this symlink points to. Is the only
way to do that to manually delete the existing symlink and create a new one?
Is there no way to directly edit a symlink and point it to another file?

Wouldn't it be easier just to replace the old symlink? Perhaps you'd
better tell us what specifically you want to do, so we can give a better
answer.
