In konqueror, in the View menu there is a submenu Sort. In
there is an
item "Folders first". If you uncheck that, folders will be listed
in
with the files in alphabetical order.
Thanks for the answers.
Unfortunately the 'sort' option is availbale only when the View
Mode is set to Icon View or MultiColumn View.
In Detailed List View, that I use, this option is not available.

If you set the view mode to Info List View, the files and folders can be mixed
as well.
