Ok here's what I've done.

Now the fun part. Setting up Xorg.conf

I have made the following adjustments:

Section "Device"
...
Driver "nvidia"
Option "RenderAccel" "True"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "TV"
Option "TVStandard" "NTSC-M"
Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "On"
Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPOSITE"
...
EndSection

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "true"
EndSection

First, I've gotta say "What a great effort!"... makes me wish I had the
hardware.

Did you also:

in the Module section, insert:

Load   "glx"

and remove the following lines:

Load  "dri"
Load  "GLcore"

if they exist?
