Yes.
Yeah, my mom has some uber-expensive digital SLR for her work. She just
simply plugs the camera in and it shows up on Konqueror. I've taught her
how to cut and paste the files over to her hard drive. She's then
learned how to make a CD of the files using K3B.
Now if I can only teach her CUPS admin functions for when her printer
messes up....
...nevermind, that's hopeless.
