Ok, so I'll wait ;-)

Can you give me a hint what I should be looking for, please?

(Just typing "qt" in Yast gives a lot of packages, and I have to scroll to the
side and compare version-numbers to see if there's something newer, because
the icons are not shown... Is this a matter of days or weeks...? Is there
eventually something I could compile myself - or should I better not (as an
almost-newbie)?
