[SLE] Firefox: XML Parsing Error: syntax error

I frequently get this error in a Firefox big, pink window:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
XML Parsing Error: syntax error
Location: chrome://mozapps/content/downloads/unknownContentType.xul
Line Number 1, Column 1
ng, aValueString)
^
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This happened when I tried to print a webpage, but it has happened at
other times also.
I'm currently using FF v.1.0.x. Don't remember the exact version number
and can't display it in FF because it yeilds another "XML Parsing
Error", one a bit different from the one above.
Why is this happening? Is there a known fix? Tips?
tia,
ken
