Hi,Maybe you need to have /usr/lib/festival included in the PATH variable.
Previously (9.3) this worked:
echo Hello world | /usr/bin/festival --tts
but now (10.1) it halts with this error:
pipe_open: failed to start audsp
Audio spooler has died unexpectedly
Sound is working correctly, it seems. But not festival. I don't know what
that "audsp" is; I do have a file named /usr/lib/festival/audsp - perhaps
it is a device that is missing :-?
