On a sideline to this topic (I probably should have used a different
Subject Line)
Going back to even before SUSE 9.0 I have noticed that the screen powerdown
feature is intermittant. I have seen this with different monitors.
Usually the screen
goes black and the monitor reflects being in low power mode at the selected
interval. However, once in awhile (sometimes weeks) it just doesn't work.
It stops working to shutdown the screen and it just stays on all
night long. A reboot always fixes it. I think also shutting down KDE
and restarting
fixes it as well. Has anyone else seen this and does anyone have
suggestions or
thoughts on this.
Cheers,
Bob

Hello
I have been seeing this subject fly around but I have not seen any
concrete answers. I have tried power management trick along with a few
others. Has anyone got a sure fire fix for this problem yet or is it just a
plain ol bug we need to wait for a fix for thanks.

I only fixed it by updating to KDE 3.5.3.
