[SLE] 10.1 Perl Cyradm Auth Mech Problem

Running Horde on OpenSUSE 10.1 and trying to run the cyradm command to change some mailbox quotas.

I set the cyrus account password using "passwd cyrus" as root OK.

I then tried to log in. After a second or so the console spit back at me:

clientmail:/ # cyradm --auth login localhost --user cyrus

Login failed: authentication failure at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/Cyrus/IMAP/Admin.pm line 118
cyradm: cannot authenticate to server with login as cyrus

OK, except there is no Cyrus subdirectory in the x86_64-linux-thread-multi directory, so I am at a loss to understand where the issue is!

/var/log/messages shows:

which doesn't make sense because the cyrus user is a system user, not an LDAP user.

Any ideas?
