Just set up Bind on Suse 10, to replace an MS DNS server, and everything
appears to be working well except for the MX record; an MX entry was made
for the domain in Bind. When I point a Linux workstation to the Bind server,
I can ping everything and find entries via nslookup and dig, however when I
try to use 'mail user@xxxxxxxxxxxx', I get the following error and the
e-mail doesn't make it to its destination;
Pointed to Linux DNS;
Aug 29 17:30:42 Linux-server postfix/smtp[23619]: 7CB3EF3E0C:
to=<jamesp@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, relay=none, delay=0, status=bounced (Host or
domain name not found. Name service error for name=musicreports.com
type=AAAA: Host found but no data record of requested type)
Can you post the zone?
