Hey all,===========
I'm sure someone has asked this before but I just installed 10.2 on a
machine here and only Banshee and like one other media player can
seem to do MP3s, XMMS doesn't play them. Are there media packs I can
download? I started YOU and it says there aren't any updates to
install which I thought was a little weird, so I'm checking here to
see if thereis maybe a problem with something I have to do after
install for updates.
And of course to see what I need to do for MP3 playback on XMMS.

Since 10.2 is still in the Alpha stages, there will be no other files
available at the moment. What you can do, should do is grab the source
file rpms, adjust the spec file for xmms and recompile it with mp3
playback enabled. Banshee is probably using the Helix backend from
RealPlayer. Any other files you feel you need will require you
compiling those yourself or you can wait for the release of 10.2!
10.2?
