Re: [SLE] Repository for kernel 2.6.17?

Does anyone know of a repository (to add to Smart) which contains the
latest stable kernel, 2.6.17? Currently, I am running kernel
2.6.16.21-0.13-default.

suser-jengelh has 2.6.17 and .18. Be sure to add corresponding Hold
rules into your package manager and manually pick the 2.6.17.

A recent thread said you have to get a new version of udev userspace I
believe if you want to run a .18 kernel.

Can't say. You definitely need udev >= 080 for >= 2.6.16.
