[SLE] KMix keeps popping up!

My SUSE hard drive "died", so I have had to install it again on the
new drive. I have installed all the upgrades, including KDE
3.5.4 "release 62.1"

Now, when I boot, the KMix mixer window is always on the desktop and I
have to exit KMix each time. Then, next boot, it's back again.

It's not a big nuisance, but I wonder if there is a way of stopping it
happening.

I have tried having the 'dock into panel' selected and not selected.
No difference.

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to overcome it, please?
