[SLE] Yast2 Segfault

SuSE 10.1 x86_64 has been running fairly smoothly for me. Although I
never succeeded in getting either YOU or the Novell updater thing to
work properly. I have been able to update via Yast2's "Software
management" until today. Now when I choose the updates and select
"Accept" Yast2 segfaults with the error:
sbin/yast2: line233: 3343 Segmentation fault
$ybindir/yastbase menu ncurses $NCTHREADS
I seem to recall that someone else here had this, or a similar problem
with Yast2 crashing, but I have been unable to locate anything in the
list archives.
Can anyone offer any suggestions or pointers on how to resolve this
issue?
TIA
Dave
